The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Department of Health and Human Services, have created a website to compare Hospital Quality and Patient Satisfaction. The information on the website was provided primarily by hospitals that have agreed to submit quality information knowing it would be shared with the public. To view information on each Hospital, please visit www.hospitalcompare.hhs.gov.

Accreditation is an evaluative process in which a healthcare organization undergoes an examination of its policies, procedures, and performance by an external private sector organization (accrediting body). Accreditation ensures the healthcare organization is meeting predetermined criteria, and usually involves both on- and off-site surveys. MeridianChoice ensures a variety of providers, including primary care and high-volume specialists, are available in the network. Additionally, Meridian ensures providers are geographically distributed across the service area to meet the needs of our members. At this time, MeridianChoice does not use criteria such as quality measures, member experience, or cost when selecting providers for any of its Marketplace plans.
